A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has spoken on the heavy outburst that rocked in Akure, Ondo State on Saturday 28th march,2020.

DAILY POST gathered that over 100 buildings were destroyed in the early hours of Saturday  following an explosion that rocked Ondo State.


The disaster happened  by 1am on Saturday.

The extremely frightened sought was heard when everyone asleep, according to the people living in that area.

Fani-Kayode has reacted that South-West is being targeted, he added that he believe at the end of everything, there will still be David left to defend the region.

“First it was Ekiti, then Abule Ado in Lagos and now Akure,” Fani-Kayode tweeted.

“If we like, we should keep kidding ourselves, saying that these are not bombs and that we are not being targeted.

“Let’s hope that by the end of it all, there will still be someone left standing to defend the South-West,” he said.

Meanwhile, Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had confirmed the incident and said security chiefs had briefed him, and efforts were being made to discover if there are casualties.
