A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State on Friday command Iwo monarch, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, to show himself before it over alleged attack of fellow traditional ruler.

DAILY POST reports that Oba Akanbi, was on February 14 alleged to have physically assaulted the Agbowu of Ogbaagba, Oba Dhikrulahi Akinropo, in the presence of the Assistant – Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Mr. Bashir Makama, during a peace meeting.

Makama was said to have called Oluwo and some other royal fathers within the zone to the meeting, for the purpose of making peace among them over lingering land disputes.

It was gathered that the two monarchs, in the course of the peace meeting got into a heated argument, which eventually degenerated to a scuffle.

Counsel to Agbowu, Mr. Soji Oyetayo had earlier approached the court for an order on a motion exparte, to file an application against Oluwo.

Ruling on the Ex Parte application, the Magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara, ordered the police to put the traditional ruler on notice before the date would be fixed for hearing of the matter.
