Tribunal affirms Ortom's election as Benue governor
On Thursday, The Benue State Action Committee on COVID-19 sent 58 people accused to have been illegally entered into Makurdi, the state capital, back to their various states.
Engr. Benson Abounu, Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Benue COVID-19 Action Committee, led a task force to return the youths from Benue state in the early hours of Thursday.
Engr. Benson revealed that the youths were transport to the state against the shutdown rules and regulations and had to be send back to their various state.
The Deputy Governor disclosed that the Committee make a provision for their movement, as well as proper documentation and security to aid their movement on the highways for the affected young persons.
Benson emphasis that the Benue State shutdown remains in intact, and that anyone found against the conduct will face smell itself.
Engr. Benson Abounu affirmed that all actions necessary to preserve the state against Corona virus would be taking into consideration with proper diligence, disclosed that all impoverished from other states surface in Benue State would be sent back to their homes state.
Engr. Benson Abounu, Deputy governor appealed to the people to forget their ranks and support the government of Governor Samuel Ortom whom he said has given great assistant to the Benue COVID-19 Action Committee to make it defeat pandemic corona virus
Face masks were also distributed to the returning youths after they had been given proper orientation on safety hints necessary for them to avoid contracting and extending the deadly virus.
