Corona virus cases across the globe have hit one million, according to Worldometers.

The website, which is providing official updates on the COVID-19, claims a total of 1,00,800 people have been contracted so far.

However, 210,200 of that number representing 21% have regain their health from the pandemic virus.

The infection has reached 204 countries and territories since the first case was recorded in Wuhan, China, in December.

The Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus, had predicted that one million cases of coronavirus will be recorded worldwide in few days.

As at Wednesday, over 800,000 people had been infected, with over 40,000 deaths.
