COVID-19: NCDC DG completes 14-day isolation period,resumes office -

Chikwe Ihekweazu, The Director-General of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, (NCDC), has revealed that 12,000 contacts have been discovered across the country since the beginning of the corona virus also known as (COVID-19) outburst in Nigeria.
Director-General disclosed this on Friday at the conference of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.
Chikwe Ihekweazu also divulge that 2,000 samples were tested yesterday being the highest number of samples they have tested in a single day in Nigeria.
He observed that there have been signs of progress because are increase in numbers every day.
“Despite the challenges across the country, the truth is that samples are coming into our laboratory networks across the entire nation,” he said.
In addition that there are master plan being made despite of challenges here and there by healthcare workers.
DG Ihekweazu disclosed that, “In terms of the number of contacts, we are following up cumulatively about 12,000 contacts across the country from the beginning of the outbreak.”
