Coronavirus: Nigerian governors urge Buhari to relax lockdown

President Muhammadu Buhari has instruct all Nigerian Governors to partner with the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, to conceived better harmony in the overwhelming task of tackling the pandemic corona virus.

The President spoke during an online meeting on Monday with the Governors’ Forum, disclosed that the PTF had summarized him on the actions in the national response to the deadly virus.

President Muhammadu Buhari said the deadly virus was “beyond technology, power, and resources,” also added that countries that had all these, were recording the highest disaster all over the world.

“We have to be very careful. We need to continue to educate and persuade the people to accept the reality of the situation, and do all that is necessary to stay safe,” the President said.

The meeting also discussed economic and security issues, among others, with the Governors commending the President on the “leadership and direction” he has given the country in curtailing  deadly corona virus.
