The World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, revealed the number of corona virus cases in Africa has hit above 95,000 in the last 24 hours.

 On Thursday , the UN health agency disclosed this on its verified official Twitter page.

The statement on the Twitter read that, COVID-19 has killed 2,995 people in the Africa, while 34,000 people has been discharged from the deadly virus.

The statement read “Over 95,000 confirmed #COVID19 cases on the African continent – with more than 34,000 recoveries & 2,995 deaths."

The WHO African Region COVID-19 screen revealed that South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, and Morocco have continued to top the updates on higher number cases.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed another 284 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, making the total number of the pandemic cases in Nigeria to hit 6,677 on Wednesday night.
