One of the eminent Gombe indigene, Babayo Gidado, passed away at 79.

He served as Chief of Staff to former Governor, Danjuma Goje.

Gombe Governor, Inuwa Yahaya grieved over the demise.

He explained the incident as a serious loss to the state on Monday.

Yahaya, wrote in a sympathy message, disclosed that Gidado was a faithful Muslim, well known as gentleman and dedicated public servant.

He also said that the late Gidado was a professional administrator who delivered to the state carefully and he was respected and admired by the residents.

Yahaya further added that, Gidado, as a teacher, administrator, Clerk to Gombe House of Assembly and Chief of Staff to Goje, “exhibited high sense of honesty, discipline and moral rectitude”.

The governor also added that the death was “a monumental loss to his immediate family, associates and community members”.

Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to reward the deceased’s good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus and grant those he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
