The patient was caught at Oja Oba Market in Akure on Saturday. 

The woman was arrested from where she was selling fairly used clothes inside the market.

Members of Ondo State Special Task Force on COVID-19 have appended a Corona virus patient, who sneak out from Imo State to Akure in Ondo State.

The patient was caught at the popular Oja Oba Market in Akure on Saturday.

Dr Wahab Adegbenro, the Commissioner for Health in Ondo state authenticate the arrest of the patient when contacted by SaharaReporters.

Dr Wahab said, "Both the Imo and Ondo governments mounted some surveillance on her and she was eventually picked up today." Dr Wahab added that contact tracing of the patient’s family, friends and neighbours had commenced.

He further disclosed that, those who might have traded with the woman, were already being traced to curb the community transmission of the virus.

It was gathered that the patient had been isolated at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Akure.
