The Minister of works, Babatunde Fashola has responded to the air flight saga of mismatched identity with Naira Marley.

Sam Iwuajoku, the Executive plane Chairman, who flew Naira Marley to Abuja for a musical concert, had pleaded to the Federal Government Nigeria.

The pleading came on Monday after the Federal Government place ban on it's operation.

The Chairman, in a letter received by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, said the airline airlifted Naira Marley after mixing up with identity with minister Babatunde Fasola

Responding, Fashola, who is the Minister of works, in a statement on Tuesday by Hakeem Bello his Special Adviser on Communications,  said Iwuajoku’s statement as downgraded.

His statement read in parts: “The attention of the Office of the Honourable Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola SAN, has been drawn to a letter signed by the Chairman/CEO of Executive Jets Services Limited regarding a flight it operated to Abuja.

“For purposes of clarity and in order to set the records straight, the Hon. Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola SAN, has not travelled out of Abuja since March 22, 2020 before the lockdown.

Hakeem Bello said further that Fashola has not embarked on trip since the Government’s suspended inter-state movement.

He said further, “It is therefore ridiculous for Dr Iwuajoku to attempt to link the Hon. Minister with any non-compliant flight."
