On Tuesday, The Plateau State House of Assembly sacked Hon. Isaac Kwallu, the Chairman of Quaan Pan Local Government,  and Hon. Abas Wokdung, his Kanam counterpart, for unlawful terminate their councillors and failed to pay their renumerations.

Rt. Hon. Abok Ayuba, who is the Speaker of the declared their terminations during plenary, ordered the affected chairmen to handover to their deputies immediately.

While reacting to the journalists after plenary, the House Committee Chairman on Information, Philip Dasun, disclosed that the chairmen had been complicated in some quarrel with their councillors.

Dasun said that the State House of Assembly called the two chairmen and therefore ordered them on the next line of action but they failed to comply with the oreder.

He said, “They were directed to pay the entitlements owed councillors but they fail to do so.

“In the case of Kanam, he even sacked the substantive Clerk of the House posted there by the House of Assembly Service Commission and refuse to reinstate him as directed."

The Information Committee chairman claimed that the termination of the Kwallu was not in connection with his senatorial ambition.

Dasun explained that it was Kwallu’s right to compete the seat of the senate since he is from the zone and that the House would not remove him for exercising his political right.

Ngrealnews gathered that Kwallu’s removal was linked on his Senatorial ambition.

The Source from ruling APC in the state disclosed that, Kwallu was coumsel not to aim the Senate for Plateau South, to substitute him for late Senator Ignatius Longjan.

It was also noted that the powers that be in the party have their anointed candidate.
