Bauchi Speaker wants members tested for Coronavirus [ARTICLE ...

Alhaji Abubakar Suleiman, the Speaker, Bauchi State House Assembly has told legislators to go for COVID-19 test.

Abubakar asked all the special plenary on Monday on the extension of the virus in the state.

Speaker disclose this while announcing that Alhaji Tukur Ibrahim, the member representing Toro/Jama’a Constituency, tested positive to deadly corona virus also known as COVID-19.

“He is receiving treatment; we are praying for his quick recovery so he can reunite with his family and legislators.

“Samples of members are being taken for the COVID-19 tests; other members, whose samples have not been taken, should meet the medical personnel who are already in the House.”

Abubakar also asked all the legislators and the general public to maintain the guidelines on corona virus, to put an end to extension of the deadly disease.

“Such protocols include social distancing, regular hand washing with running water, use of face masks among others,” he added.

The speaker disclosed that the state assembly would do possible best to curtail further extension of the pandemic virus in the state.
