An Abuja Court of Appeal sitting has authenticate Yahaya Bello poll as the Governor of Kogi State.

The five-man panel of the court presided by Adamu Jauro in a unanimous judgment on Saturday, terminated four appeals against the elecrion for lack of prove.

The appeals were filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Actions Peoples Party (APP), and the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP).

Bello, who is the flag bear  during the poll on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was reelected on November 16, 2019.

He got 406,222 votes to beat PDP’s Musa Wada who got 189,704 and Natasha Akpoti of the SDP, who got 9,482 votes.

The governorship poll petition tribunal had previous cancel a suit filed by Akpoti and SDP, for lack of prove to the accusation of hiking vote, massive thumb printing, voter intimidation, etc.
