The PDP,  release the statement on its official Twitter page on Monday, stated that, the development confirms misconduct in EFCC.

The PDP says, Magu should now stepdown from his position to prevent destruction of fact against him.

The PDP called on the President Muhammadu Buhari government to express the authenticity of its war against corruption by accepting the proper enquiries of the acting Chairman of EFCC.

The main opposition party said that, Nigerians were already knows that the EFCC boss has been drag in for investigation.

The PDP said that the fact that Magu has to be accompanied by his lawyer reveals that the said “invitation”, is not as business like before.

“The PDP holds that the development around the @officialEFCC acting Chairman as well as the desperate attempt by the Commission to cover or waveoff his investigation, only raise more integrity questions regarding Magu’s activities in the EFCC,” the statement added.

“Only last month, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minster of Justice, Abubakar Malami, released a memo in which he indicted Magu of alleged diversion of recovered funds and fraudulent sale of assets seized by the @officialEFCC.”

The main opposition party was thoroughly following the development with Nigerians and indeed, the international community are and expect the Buhari-led presidency to show the courage to carry out a comprehensive enquiries and publicized the result available to the public.

The PDP asked the Buhari administration to direct Magu to stepdown, and further said that, this will jelly the integrity of the office of the Chairman of the EFCC.
