The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday confirmed 221 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.

The NCDC rrvealed this on its official twitter page.

The 221 fresh cases confirmed on Wednesday was the least number of cases recorded in Nigeria for sometime.

NCDC disclosed that there were more people who gave up of COVID-19 due to the complications in the country in the last 24 hours.

It said the national death hit 1,010.

The health agency added that the total number of discharged patients in the country now clock 40,281.

The agency also disclosed that the 221 fresh cases were recorded in 20 states.
