Many students have been so eager on the resumption dates for all school, most of them believes what they read on the internet and other social media base on what the Federal Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu said on the resumption of all schools both secondary and tertiary institutions on the 7th of September, 2020.
It has been announced that the information on school resumption on the internet is fake information that should be discard, as the Federal Government of Nigeria has not disclose the dates for reopening of all schools (Secondary and tertiary institutions) in Nigeria.
The Federal Government of Nigeria met with  educational stakeholders last month July, 2020 and announced that all exit classes in secondary schools nationwide should be reopened on the 4th of August, 2020 and not tertiary institutions.

The Federal Government of Nigeria and other educational stakeholders also met with Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB), to reschedule the previous announced date for conducts of admission processes for 2020/2021 sessions.
The meeting was agreed as the board picked 7th September, 2020 for the exercise of all tertiary institutions POST-UTME/SCREENING exercise.

Base on these points, many tertiary students, parents ,friends and relations misused the date ( 7th ,September, 2020) to be the reopening date for all schools (secondary and tertiary institutions) which is not supposed to be so.

The Federal Government has lay emphasis on it's ambitions to reopen schools whenever the institution prepare measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Finally, the Federal Government of Nigeria is still negotiating with the leadership of ASUU to lift the ongoing industrial strike action but has not been accepted by ASUU.
