National Association of Polytechnic Students, NAPS have asked on the Federal Government to lift ban on all tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

According to the statement during a protest in Ilorin metropolis, Deputy Senate President of NAPS, Comrade Ibrahim Isah disclosed that the continued shutdown of all schools most especially tertiary institutions is a security threat to the Nation.

The students leader said that since markets, religious centers and other public spaces have been reopened to the general publi, there was no reasins for the continuous shutdown of schools in Nigeria.

Comrade Isah stated that, the peaceful protest was staged to beg President Muhammadu Buhari to consider the immediate reopening of tertiary institutions.

 He lay more emphasis to the closure of schools as a detrimental measures to the future of alot of Nigeria students who are now becoming uncomfortable due to excessive lockdown through the pandemic virus.

According to the Students letter submitted at the Kwara State Government House called for the sterilized of all Schools, provision of digital termometer Provision of automated hand washing machines and establishment of virtual learning center across every campus in the country.
