Prof Yemi Isinbajo, the number two citizen of Nigeria on Wednesday, had meeting with Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Kano state governor disclosed with State House correspondents after the meeting, said he was at the Villa to discus with the Prof Yemi Osinbajo on measures putvin place to tackle security challenges in the state.

He said, “Just to brief him about the security issues in Kano State, especially pertaining to kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery and other criminal activities in the zone.

“I submitted a report to him that it is all well; we are managing; there is high coordination of the security agencies in Kano; they are working very hard.

“The only problem we have is the Falgore Forest for which we are providing infrastructure for military training in order to prevent the bandits from colonising that particular environment.

“We are working very hard on that; so, briefly, that is what I have come to discuss with him.’’

Ganduje said further that Osinbajo was very happy and felt motivated with the report.

Ganduje added on the N880 million currently disbursed to the 44 local government in Kano state for the revamp of primary schools.

Mr Governor disclosed that, the major reason for the renovation was to motivate community participation in the growth of academics in the state.

Governor Ganduje said further that his government had created a package for direct labour, rehabilitation and renovation of schools, NAN reports.
