Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has direct the shoot up surveillance and security personnel deployments all over the nation ahead of Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary of the country.

Mr. Frank Mba, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mr Frank stated that the directives was to prevent any break of peace and guarantee unfavourable conditions on independence celebration on 1st October, 2020.

However, he charged Nigerians to go about the celebration without any worry or depressions.

Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO),  said further that the Commissioners of Police (CPs) and their supervisory Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) were also ordered to guarantee the safeguard and secure the public places during this period.

Mr Frank added that the Strategic personnel would strengthen the visibility policing structure and carry out confidence building patrols.

Mr.Frank stated that the patrol would cover homes, Federal highways and Government/Private infrastructure to prevent and apprehend any unwarrant situation.

The statement read in part, “The IG, on behalf of the Management Team and the entire personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, congratulates President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerians on the nation’s Diamond Jubilee Anniversary."
