The President and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of MTN Group Limited, Rob Shuter, has resigned.

MTN Nigeria Communications Plc revealed this in a statement posted on the website of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday.

MTN also instructed the public investors that Shuter’s resignation take effect from Sept. 1.

Uto Ukpana, the company’s Secretary, unveiled this in the notice that Shuter, before his resignation, was President and CEO of MTN Group Limited.

Uto Ukpana said, Shuter became a management board of MTN Nigeria on April 13, 2017.

Her statement read: “The board of MTN Nigeria would like to express its appreciation to Mr. Shuter for his exemplary leadership, focus, and commitment to the success of the company.

“The board wishes him the best in his future endeavours."
