President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday mourned Gabriel Igboanugo, a man he always called Daddy.

Ngrealnews gathered on Sunday that Buhari Spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said that Buhari and his ‘Daddy’ became allies when he was the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3rd Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army, Jos, Plateau State.

According to his statement, “Pa Igboanugo was the Principal Education Officer at the Command Secondary School, Jos, and had a close and amicable relationship with the then GOC,”

The statement read in part: “Lady Margaret Igboanugo, in a private letter to President Buhari, writes: ‘My husband, whom you used to fondly call ‘Daddy,’ passed away the way he lived; peacefully and in comfort, in his home in Ihiala, Anambra State. He will be buried there on Friday, November 27, 2020.”

The President sympathies with the family, friend and associates appealing them to take heart in the fact that their beloved lived a fulfilled life and old age, and touched the lives of a countless number of people that came across his way.
