Professor Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi , who is the Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University, has signed the resumption of academic activities starting from 12th October, 2020.

Acting Registrar, Mohammed A. Shuaib, said in his statement that resumption of 100 and 200 level students and other students with carry overs in the 100 and 200 level courses, has been scheduled for Monday, 12th October to 17th October, 2020.

Mohammed said “Students are expected to provide evidence of course registration on resumption.”

The final examinations commences from 19th October to 24th October, 2020.

The 100 and 200 levels examinations are expected to start on Monday, 26th October and end on Saturday, 31th October, 2020.

Resumption of 300, 400, and 500 levels students is scheduled for 31st October, 2020, while examinations for the same levels commences on 2nd November, 2020 till 7th November, 2020, and would be ended between Monday, 16th November, and Saturday 28th November, 2020.

The Acting Registrar counsel “all members of staff and students to comply with the precautionary measures put in place to guide against Covid-19 pandemic.”

Meanwhile, The federal government has ordered reopening of all schools in the country by October 12.


This came after six months of lockdown of schools across the state by the government to curb the community spread of the pandemic Virus also known as COVID-19.
