The live broadcast of President Muhammadu Buhari addressed to the nation on Thursday night has triggered reactions by Nigerians.

The first citizen discussed on the End SARS protests, violence and government actions.

But Nigerians are unhappy with the speech while social media are full with criticism comments.

After the announcement of his Live broadcast, Nigerians had great expectations.

Nigerians were thinking Buhari will announce the probe of security personnel who use weapons in exchange to peaceful protest.

Buhari stated, “I am indeed deeply pained that innocent lives have been lost. These tragedies are uncalled for and unnecessary".

However, many Nigerians say they looking forward for a stronger actions on deaths and injuries.

But mr President sympathized with the officers of the Nigeria Police who as a results lost their lives while serving his father's land.

The citizens said further that the demand of protesters’ are being executed.

President Muhammadu Buhari said authorities shall press forward to guarantee that love and freedom, as well as the fundamental human rights of all Nigerians, are defended.

He also noted that the government is guiding and will continue to guide all the democratic rights and civil liberties of the citizens.

But he (Buhari) warned that “anybody or groups” will not be permitted to interrupt the peace of the country.

Aisha Yesufu, one of the eminent activist, shows her disappointment on Twitter.

She said, “Not a word from Buhari @MBuhari about #EndSars protesters killed. Not a word about citizens killed in Zamfara. You still have doubt that this man cares for no one and everyone is feeling the effect of his incompetence?”.

“He didn’t even acknowledge them. Wow”, Music start, Simi wrote in reference to the deceased.

Another person identified as Dipo Awojide also said, “No empathy. No hope. No apology. No accountability”.

Bulama Bukarti tweeted, “Buhari didn’t have a word for the victims of the recent killings in Zamfara and across the north. That tells you how much he values those peddling disinformation to defend the indefensible”.
