Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku, has order reopening of tertiary institutions in the state

According to the statement signed on Friday by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Danjuma Adamu in Jalingo Taraba State capital.

Taraba state Governor said “with the advent of COVID 19, Governor Darius Ishaku had ordered the closure all Institutions in Taraba State since March 2020, the order for reopening of the Tertiary Institutions by the governor is to ensure that all the protocols of the pandemic are well observed during resumption”

“The governor has directed the ministry for tertiary institutions in the state to instruct the schools’ management over the protocols and also announce the particular date for the resumption”

Danjuma Adamu disclose the order by the governor only involves Tertiary Institutions under the state ministry as well as private institutions.

“Institutions like the School of Health Technology Takum, College of Agriculture Jalingo and School of Nurse and Midwifery Jalingo were not included in the directive since they are not under the ministry of tertiary Institutions”

The schools that are to be informed on the reopening from the ministry of tertiary Institutions includes the Taraba State University, College of Education Zing, Taraba State Polytechnic Suntai and all the private Tertiary Institutions in the state.

Meanwhile, The federal government has ordered reopening of all schools in the country by October 12.
