The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has portent to penalized travelers who failed to present themselves for a mandatory in-country Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test.

Boss Mustapha, who is the Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), revealed this in a media conference on Tuesday in Abuja, NAN reports.

The Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), stated that the requirements had arisen to mechanized the penalty which are the suspension of passports of such individual who failed to meet the obligation for a minimum of six months or total cancellation of visa.

Remember that the PTF had previously appealed individuals sojourners to Nigeria from other country to take a COVID-19 PCR test and have a certified result before traveling.

Boss Mustapha also appealed them to stay in self-isolation for the period of seven days whole landed in Nigeria and take another COVID-19 PCR test on the last day.

The Chairman of PTF cried out over the violation of Nigerians travellers who came to Nigeria from other country without present themselves for the in-country PCR test which they appended to and paid before arrival.

He said, “It has, therefore, resolved to revoke passports of travellers that fail to conduct the mandatory COVID-19 PCR test."
