On Wednesday, the World Health Organisation (WHO), disclosed that there are over 1.8 million cases COVID-19 confirmed on the African continent.

The United Nation Health Agency said that there were over 1.8 million authenticated COVID-19 index on the African continent with more than 1.4 million discharged and 43,000 deaths recorded so far.

The Countries with the highest number of reported confirmed cases include, South Africa, Ethiopia and Kenya.

In South Africa 726,823 index cases reported and 19,411 dead as a result of complication; Ethiopia 96,583 index cases reported with 1,478 dead as a result of complication, while Kenya had 56,877 index cases reported and 1,013 deaths recorded so far
