About 70 Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel are presently in China on a special training.

This personnel have been in the nation of Asian for almost four months and will come back home next week.

The special trained Nigeria Air Force will be dispatched to activate the 203 Combat Reconnaissance NAF Base in Gombe State.

Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, who is the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), revealed this on Tuesday when he pay a work visit to Gombe Governor, Inuwa Yahaya.

Chief of Air Staff (CAS), emphasized that the NAF Base in Gombe state was strategic in combating against insurgency, banditry and other criminal activities in the Northan region.

He said, “We are very excited that we are going to have this unit activated”.

Abubakar added that additional Special Forces units would be posted to protect NAF property.

He guaranteed that the military arm, in conjunction with other security services, would continue to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty
