The federal government has signed additional measures to curtailed the expansion of COVID-19 in the country.

Boss Mustapha, who is the chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, revealed this at the daily briefing of the task force in Abuja that new directives to shutdown all clubs, bars and restaurants has emerged.

The federal government also stream down the number of guests at weddings , conference to 59 as fresh strain of COVID-19 hits the nation.

“According to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, has authorised the PTF to engage with the states and the FCT to assume full ownership of this stage of the response by deploying legal structures and resources, including enforcement to manage the pandemic within their jurisdictions.

The directives will be implemented for the next five weeks as Nigeria hopes to curtail the extension of Coronavirus which also known as COVID-19

Boss Mustapha said further that“ All bars, night clubs, pubs and event centres, and recreational venues should be closed.

“ All restaurants to be closed except those providing services to hotel residents; takeaways, home deliveries and drive-ins shall remain closed."

He added that federal government directed that gatherings connected to religious activities should be more than 50% capacity of the event center.
