The House of Representatives on Tuesday, ordered President Muhamadu Buhari to appear before the representatives sequence to the mass killings of 43 rice farmers in Borno State.

The move to order the President caused alots of controversies on the floor of the House, as the Speaker, Femi Gbajabimaila, made a serious move to depends the President.

With the recent killing of 43 people by Boko Haram insurgents, Gbajabiamila and others make a serious move to defend President Buhari from House summons.

Meanwhile, House of representative summoned Buhari on the 24th of April, 2018, sequence a consideration of a propose moved by Mark Gbillah, The motion was on the farmer and herdsmen crisis in Benue State.

The move was attacked by army agents on innocent people of Naka in Gwer-West Local Government Area of Benue State and the lack of ability of the soldiers and other security personnel to put an end to the mass killings of people of Benue State by armed herdsmen. However, the debate on the move spread to general insecurity.

The move led to a total of 11 determined with 7 sub-resolutions. One of the resolutions read “Summon the President and Commander-in-Chief to answer questions with regards to security matters in the country.”

An ultimatum of 7 days was given to President to give details to the House of those cause the attack on Naka town and the action taken against them.

But, none of the motion were followed by the President Buhari. He failed to appear before the House nor any punishment was attached to the President.

The House Representatives also agreed to lockdown the House Plenary for 3 legislative days as a sign of protest with citizen of Nigeria and also a strong signal that the government must act fast. This like others did not occur. The House was not locked up, not even for a day.

The Green Chamber also moved a vote of no confidence on all the security chiefs and appealed the President to terminate their  appointment.

The only replied got by the representatives was a statement by Femi Adeshin the Senior Special Adviser to the President on media saying, “But when they communicate that decision to him, he will respond accordingly,” the Presidency reacted.

The Following day, the Red Chambers also agreed with the Green Chambers by ordered the President to address a joint session of the House in line with the issues raised by the House 24 hours earlier.

However many things has changed since the last time Buhari was ordered, Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President and the speaker, Yakubu Dogara, were not on the same groung with President Buhari and but, both Ahmad Lawan, the current Senate President and Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the house seem to have shown readiness to supports President Buhari no matter the conditions.

However, the President on Wednesday, concured to answer the order before the House if Representatives but no specific date  yet according to Mr Speaker, who announced to the journalists at the state House after a meeting with the President.
