The Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, disclosed on Friday that he visited Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, before his reelection as Edo state Governor.

Governor Obaseki, said the cleric man guarantee him that all would be well.

Edo State Governor noted this on Friday night during the Testimony Session at this year’s RCCG Holy Ghost Congress title "IT IS MY TIME TO FLY" held at the RCCG National Headquarters along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

His testimony read, “When it looked impossible, and when men rose, He (God) came out to say that He is God and only He has the power.

“About the time when the crisis started a year ago, I came to the (RCCG) camp with my wife and met Daddy G.O.”

Obaseki added after he narrated his political challenges, Pastor Adeboye told him, “My son, it is well. Don’t be afraid you will overcome and you will win.”

Governor Obaseki disclosed that he returned to the Pastor before the September election and Pastor said it will be well.

His words read, “A few months before the election, I came again to see him (Adeboye) and he prayed for me and with me and he said, ‘It will be well.’”

Godwin Obaseki encouraged the member of the RCCG that with God, all things are possible. He appealed them to be steadfast on God in the face of challenges.

Governor Godwin Obaseki, who was elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2016, was rejected as the party flagbearer for the second term due to intra-party wrangling.

He later decamped to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party. He won the election against Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the APC flagbearer with political heavyweights like Bola Tinubu and Adams Oshiomhole in this year’s Edo State Governorship Election.
