The immediate past Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mrs Joana Nnazua Kolo, in Kwara State has list her achievements in the last one year in the office.
The commissioner appreciate the executive governor of Kwara state and total supports received from kwarans.

Her statement read in full: It is pertinent to appreciate Almighty God for His unfliching support towards me while I was steering wheel of Fortune in the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development as a Commissioner. The experience and all I gathered are beyond words. 

My sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the opportunity availed to me to serve the good people of Kwara State. Thanks to Kwarans for their support, love and encouragement showered upon me while in office.

In the space of a year in office as a Commissioner, here are the sterling achievements recorded;


1. Kwara State Government Organized the 1st edition of Chess Junior Championship at Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin. (December, 2019)

2. Kwara State Government funded National cycling Championship for promotion of Health and Fitness through cycling and institution of Governors Cycling Cup in (December, 2019).

3. State Government funded North Central Governors forum U-20 Male Football Championship in Ilorin (December, 2019).

4. Kwara State Government Organized the 7th Kwara State Sports Festival --- an event that was given rebirth after 15 years of extinction (January, 2020).

5. Kwara State Government Funded the First Late Rashidi Yekini Unity soccer Championship tagged "Irra 2020" (January, 2020).

6. Kwara State Government sponsored Tennis Program tagged "Building the Community through Tennis Games among Secondary Schools in the kwara Central Senatorial District (January, 2020).

7. 2nd Rivers National Open karate Championship for (Couches Athletes and Technical Officials) at Civil Centre Portharcourt (February, 2020).

8. Kwara State Government Funded YSFON (U-16 soccer team to the 37th Edition of Ramat Cup international in Kano State --- Kwara under 15 kwara football Academy won the trophy which qualified them to represent Nigeria at Norway. (February, 2020.)

9. Kwara State Government sponsored Bello Rafiu Oyebanji, a Para-Badminton player to participate at the Brazil/Spain Para-Badmiton International Elimination which served as a Qualifications to the World Paralympics games in Brazil (February, 2020).

10. Sponsorship of Road Cycling Competition tagged "Queen is Born" at Lagos State (February, 2020).

11. Kwara State Government Sponsored Joy Abu Flight Ticket to travel to U.S.A --- Joy Abu received support from the government as Athlete after gaining the scholarship (March,2020).

12. Participation of Kwara State Sports Council at the 1st Phase of Prudent Engergy Hand Ball Premier League, 2020, Abuja.

13. Payment of 4 months outstanding Salaries of Kwara Football Academy workers(K.F.A) {July, October, December, 2016 and April, 2019} (April, 2020).

14. Kwara State Government purchased Sporting Equipment and Materials to some selected Secondary Schools across the State (Ball Games).

15. Kwara State Hand Ball (Under 18) Girls Players Qualified to Represent Nigeria in Sweden (July, 2020).

16. Kwara State Hand Ball Female Team Game Promotion to Elite Prudent Premier League Championship, 2020.

17. Kwara State Government Sponsored Table Tennis Championship in Tsaragi. (September,2020).

18. Kwara State Government Released Fund for the Transfer of KFA Players Emmanuel Ugbo And Oba Bashir Bolaji to Kanno Zalgiris in Kanra, Lituthuania (September, 2020).

19. Kwara State Government Funded the State Para-athletic Players to the 2nd Edition of FCT Zonal Pars-athletic Championship (September,2020).

20. Kwara State Sponsored 6th Olowu Olympic Sports Competition in Isin LGA.(October, 2020).

21. Kwara State Government Funded Kwara State Delegates to attend the meeting of National Council on Sports (October, 2020).

22. Kwara State Government Released Fund to attend World Polio Day National Para Soccer Tournament Abuja (October, 2020).

23. Construction of Squash Courts at the kwara State Stadium Complex (October, 2020).

24. Kwara State Government Sponsored Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association Soccer Championship (November, 2020).

25. Kwara State Government Sponsored Covid-19 Youth Compliance Multi - Purpose Games in Tsaragi (November, 2020).

26. Kwara State Government Sponsored 4th Edition of Emir's Cup Annual Competition (November, 2020).

27. Kwara State Government Sponsored the State Athletes to Attend 2020 Power Lifting Open Championship in Lagos (November,  2020).

28. Kwara State Government Sponsored Kwara South Chess Competition in Offa. (November,2020).

29. Renovation of Hostel (Block B ) at Kwara Football Academy in Kwara State Stadium Complex (November, 2020).

30. Kwara State Government Sponsored 2nd Edition of Governor's Ludo and Ayo'o Olopon Championship (December, 2020).

31. Kwara State Government has released Fund to Organize the 1st Edition of Kwara City Marathon (December, 2020).

32. Kwara State Government has released Fund for kwara Contigent to attend National Sports Festival Edo 2020 (December, 2020).

33. Kwara State Government Sponsored the 4th Edition of Patigi Sports Festival (December,2020).

34. Renovation of Twin Basketball, Volley Ball Courts and Car park at the kwara State Stadium Complex (December, 2020).
