Residents of Ede in Osun State on Tuesday protested poor electricity supply at the office of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution of Company (IBEDC), situated in the community.

The protesters, under the aegis of Federation of Ede Youth Development Association (FEYDA), trooped to the IBEDC office located at Oke-Gather area, Ede around 11:15am, carrying placards and chanting songs.

IBEDC spokesperson in Osun State, Kike Owoeye, appealed to the protesters to be patient.

Some of the inscriptions read: “Enough is enough IBEDC, Ede”, “IBEDC is a corrupt company”, “ Ede people will not tolerate IBEDC”, “Ede people will no longer pay for darkness” and “End IBEDC and darkness”.
