The Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has disclosed that it is not the Nigerian Government responsibility to chooses who stays or leave Nigeria.

IPOB leader said on his official Twitter account on Saturday.

The decision of whether Nigeria would divided or remain as a country should be decided by Nigerians via a referendum.

Nnamdi Kanu added that even the military has no such power.

“Dear Nigerian Govs
It’s not your business to decide whether the people of your State should remain Nigerians or not. It’s not even the business of @NGRPresident or the @HQNigerianArmy.

“Instead, it’s the business of the PEOPLE, freely expressed through a process called REFERENDUM”, the tweet reads.

Recently, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. -Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru said the military was ready to punish anyone or group advocating integration and cooperate existence of Nigeria.

Lt. -Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru pledged to ensure that those inciting division like Sunday Igboho who recently announced the Oduduwa Republic and his South South counterpart, ex-militant, Asari Dokubo are all dealt with.
