Rep Tunji Ajuloopin, member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-ero Federal Constituency of Kwara has urged Christians in the constituency to pray for peace, progress and unity of the four council areas, the state and Nigeria as they celebrate Easter.

In a statement on Sunday, Ajuloopin said there was need for unity of purpose among  constituents, while urging them not to allow the recent religion upheaval in the state to polarise the state.

The Federal Lawmaker urged Christians to use the period to reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, this according to him include: love of neighbour, honesty, obedience, humility and sacrifice.

He added that  the Constituency, State and Nigeria will be a better place if such virtues were imbibed.

He said Kwara State has always been known for harmonious living where peace and tranquility reigned, stressing that any attempt to allow religion division to gain inroad into "our midst" would not augur well.

He said the constituency parades good people who have great potential, adding that if well harnessed it would put the constituency in its place of pride and the people would be better for it.

Ajuloopin said that the life and time of Jesus Christ remained a perfect example of peace, care, compassion, selflessness, affection and service to God and humanity, adding that such should be emulated by all.

He promised a better deal for the good people of the constituency, stressing that he would strive to emulate the life of Jesus who made people his priority by sacrificing for them.

According to him, I urged that we should emulate him by making sacrifices for our people, families, neighbours, communities, constituency and the state and Nigeria at large, this will make our constituency the cynosure's of all.
